On 9-10 February, come and have fun in the Chevreuse valley!

Encourage your friends to form a team of 2 and come and live an epic day together just a few kilometres away from Paris.

First of all, the Night’N’Day Saclay is a trail on Friday evening, with an enchanting night departure. It is then an unforgettable mountain bike ride with a heroic arrival at the château de Rambouillet. A set of optional loops (Mountain Bike, Trail, Orienteering and even Canoeing!) make the Night’N’Day a unique modular race accessible to all. Take advantage of the activities in the fun village and create your own route by choosing which loops you will venture into!

Trail and Mountain Bike

On the program at the beginning of the event: a 13 kilometer trail in the evening. Be sure to bring your headlamp and glowing clothes to shine on a path specially illuminated for the occasion. The next day, following this nocturnal experience, a section of 6 kilometer Trail, 35 km Mountaine Bike and an activities village will make your day

Optional loops

After this common section, participants will be able to personalize their race path. Plenty of optional loops will be available, allowing you to discover the marvelous Chevreuse valley and its elegant castles.

You will be spoilt for choice: the core is trail and mountain bike, but also orienteering, run&bike and even canoeing. In total, no less than four loops will be available, each earning a certain number of points.

The choice is yours to decide how much distance you and your team will cover. You could choose to enjoy one or two strategically chosen loops, or try to man up and finish them all for a total of 100 km.

Fun activities

In between any of the loops, you will have the opportunity to take a break, relax and make the best of our fun activity stands!

A great catalogue of activities will be proposed: laser rifles, reaper, and many others to discover on site…

In the evening, the closing ceremony will allow everyone to relive the best moments of the race in a convivial atmosphere. Of course, the big winners will be announced!

Equipement

Bikes and helmets will be given during the race, but it is necessary for each participant to bring the following equipment:

At least one per team:

  • a compass
  • a fully-charged cell phone along with a waterproof case
  • a pump, bike tire irons, bike repair patches, a multi-tools key and a chain tool
  • a whistle
  • a First Aid Kit
  • a minimum stock of food
  • at least one member of the team should have a 100 + lumen headlamp

At least one per runner:

  • a backpack
  • bike gloves
  • trail shoes
  • warm clothes and a raincoat
  • a water bottle or a backpack with a hydration bladder
  • a headlamp with a spare battery (start at night)
  • your glasses if you wear contact lens
  • a high visibility accessory (for the night)
  • an emergency survival blanket
  • a tupper (lunchbox) and cutlery

Registrations are open until the 22nd of January !! Don’t wait too much !

Who can take part?

The Night’N’Day Saclay is designed for students and partner companies. Its modular format makes it accessible to anyone, no matter their fitness. All participants will have fun, whether they want to enjoy a unique sporting experience with friends or try to take on a major sporting challenge!

 

Race schedule

Meeting at the Courcelle-sur-Yvette (RER B) train station on Friday February3rd at 18:30, for the trail departure that will take place at 20:00. You will then be entirely taken care of in terms of logistics.

The first 13 km trail ends at the Diagonale Eiffel, at Centrale Supélec. There, you will be brought to the Gymnase du Moulon where you will take a good rest for the following day. Then, a 6km Trail awaits you, after which you will pick up the mountain bikes for a 35km itinerary leading to the end. All along these 2 obligatory portions, you will be able to flesh out your race path thanks to our Optional Loops, at a number of 6, going from a supplementary 1 km of trail to a 24 km triathlon for the most courageous !

All along the route, you will find check-points and activity areas to nourish you, have fun and unwind. Evening meals will also be provided, in the form of soup or sandwiches.

The race will end around 7 pm. A Closing Ceremony will take place, to debrief this journey and annouce the winners. It will be a convivial moment and an opportunity of exchange between participants and staff.

For the way back, special buses will be available to you, whose destination will either be Courcelle-sur-Yvette station (departure of the trail) of Centrale Supélec (you choose your destination).
